Prue called me at 2am to tell me that she was at a party and had put on Skeletal Lamping and it hadn’t gone down well. She was outraged, and although I had been fast asleep, I was completely sympathetic. Being unenthusiastic about this album is utterly perplexing. People who don’t like it need to be publicly shamed, lined up in the town square and mocked mercilessly. There is obviously something wrong with them and being humiliated and abused is the only way they will see the error of their ways. It’s also the only way I’ll be able to get some sleep.

This is gonna sound like the proverbial “it’s raining!” or “it’s cold”but,The Beatles were really great. 14 hours agoThe Beatles “Revolution” (Live on the David Frost Show)
Once again, today marks the 40th anniversary of the Beatles’ self-titled “white album.” Yes, I know this is the single version of the song, but c’mon.

I cannot not reblog this peoples.. I am not the biggest cat and/or dog reblogger, but this is totally priceless. Like a John K. cartoon or something. This is all about the reactino shot, and how the two dogs’ placement is perfectly consistent. Hilarious!!

One of the reasons I’m so drawn to film, and aspire to be a filmmaker, is simply the power behind a story well told. There’s so much opportunity to open up to a new perspective or emotion that maybe you’re not so used to exploring. Of course, overall film aesthetics matter, but when you break a film down to its core - the story and how it speaks to you is most important, at least it is to me.
In the case of Slumdog Millionaire, director Danny Boyle delivered a beautiful film that had a pace, energy, and dare I say, heart that kept me transfixed. The film is a modern day fairy tale that triggered every sort of emotion - sadness, anger, hope, happiness - in such an authentic, original way. I’ve yet to travel to India, but I felt its spirit last night in each vibrant, skillfully ensembled scene - everyone should see this film.
Can’t wait!! Just watched one of my favorites-Boyle’s Millions-the other night. I love how every movie he does is of a different genre.
